Dr. Chen-Yuan Huang (Jenny Huang), born on July 26, 1968, in Taiwan, is a distinguished academic and administrator known for her expertise in industrial engineering, management, and international education. Currently, she holds the roles of Deputy Dean of the Office of International Affairs and Assistant Professor in the Bachelor Program in International Management at the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (NYUST). Her extensive academic and professional experience reflects her commitment to fostering global academic partnerships and advancing the field of industrial engineering. Dr. Huang's educational background is deeply rooted in engineering and management. She earned her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management from NYUST, where her research focused on optimizing industrial processes and integrating advanced technology. She also holds a Master’s degree in Global Operations Strategy and Logistics Management from NYUST and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Feng Chia University. This strong foundation has allowed her to contribute significantly to both academic and practical applications in logistics, business management, and data analysis. With over two decades of professional experience, Dr. Huang has held several prominent positions at NYUST and other institutions. As the Deputy Dean of the Office of International Affairs, she has strengthened NYUST’s global partnerships and enhanced support for international students. Previously, she served as Chief of Technology Transferring at NYUST’s Industry-Academy Research Center, where she facilitated collaborations between academia and industry, bridging research with practical applications. Her teaching experience includes roles at multiple Taiwanese universities, where she has delivered courses in business management and statistics, making complex subjects accessible to diverse student groups. Dr. Huang has achieved notable success in organizing international conferences, such as the 8th Asia Pacific Industrial Engineering & Management System and 2007 Chinese Institute of Industrial Engineers Conference (APIEMS & CIIE Conference 2007). This event brought together over 2,000 participants from 33 countries, showcasing her strong project management and international networking skills. Her bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English has been invaluable in her roles, allowing her to engage with global stakeholders and foster cross-cultural collaboration effectively. Dr. Huang’s contributions to academic research are widely recognized, with numerous publications in respected journals such as SAGE Open and PLOS ONE. Her work focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, logistics management, and technology adoption. As an advocate for international education, she is dedicated to expanding NYUST's global impact and promoting interdisciplinary research that addresses contemporary global challenges.
